TIPS AND INFORMATION ON INSTALLATION.

USEFUL INFORMATION ON THE SUBSTRUCTURE, INSTALLATION PRODUCTS, INVISIBLE FIXING AND BONDS.

To ensure that terrace flooring will have a long service life and remain attractive, they must be laid on a substructure. The advantage of this method is that when it rains or snows, water can collect in the space within the substructure and can gradually evaporate again from there.

The circulation of air means that the water that has been absorbed by the terrace flooring can escape again quickly, which also protects against rot. If the terrace flooring is oiled, this also protects them from weathering and preserves their attractive appearance.

THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE SUBSTRUCTURE:

Thermo spruce supporting joists | Dimensions: 40 x 60 mm or 60 x 60 mm, length 5 m

Aluminium joists | Dimensions: 40 x 20 mm, 40 x 40 mm, 40 x 60 mm, length 3 m

FIXING OPTIONS FOR THE TERRACE FLOORING.

Terrace flooring can, of course, be fixed conventionally using screws. If the boards are fixed using screws, a uniform appearance takes time to achieve. The screws are visible and in damp conditions they can damage the terrace.

THE ALTERNATIVE – AN "INVISIBLE SCREW ATTACHMENT".

Our Senofix, Terraflex and Gecko attachment systems enable you to secure the terrace flooring invisibly.

The advantages of invisible fixing are as follows:

The fixing takes place on the substructure.

The appearance of the terrace flooring is not adversely affected by visible screws.

The terrace flooring can "work" freely depending on the weather conditions – they may accumulate moisture or, on the other hand, release it.

OPTIONAL TERRACE FLOORING CONNECTORS.

When the terrace flooring is secured to the substructure, there is no need for any additional attachment.

If preferred, it is also possible to secure the terrace flooring frontally.

Detailed information on all aspects of laying terrace flooring can be found in our brochure "Installation Instructions".
